The first of two appearances for Madonna in this series is her early single Borderline that Dean Wareham covered as part of his side project Cagney & Lacee with his then wife Claudia Silver. Madonna's original was released in 1984
Cagney & Lacee released it on a single on the fab Earworm records in 1998 - the single also included Cagney & Lacee's only original song.
