#026: Succour: The Terrascope Benefit Album

in categories:

Succour was a double CD released to raise funds for the brilliant but beleaguered Ptolemaic Terrascope magazine… if Monsters, Robots, and Bugmen was a “user’s guide to the rock hinterland” then Succour was right out rock’s back of beyond. It’s in my collection, again, because of the appearance of Magic Hour who wrap up things at the end of disc 2.

Can’t be certain but I assume that I bought this direct from Ptolemaic Terrascope back in 1996 - maybe at the same time I bought my Johnny-come-lately first subscription - up until then I only had an odd copy or two since my tastes were more of the mainstream and I would have only really encountered PT through my long-established and still ongoing love of Hawkwind.
