Mp3: Lost tracks #7: Dean Wareham – West Broadway

Guitrarrorists was a compilation of solo guitar pieces curated by Kramer and released on No.6 Records in 1991. Contributions came from such indie lumninaries as Thurston Moore, Steve Albini and J Mascis. I listened to the whole album a few weeks back and must admit I found it mostly heavy going.

Dean Wareham’s contribution is this nice little number entitled West Broadway. Enjoy.

Thanks! I think I taped this off the John Peel show at the time the Guitrarrorists album came out. I seem to remember J. Mascis’s track being pretty good too.

  2. Simon says:

Thanks for that Andy. I had that record in my hands a good few years ago but ended up not buying it, I must have been skint.

What was the Sonic Boom track again?

    Thanks.

  3. Andy says:

The Sonic Boom track was called Overture and was pretty cool – actually prob quite a few were OK on there own it’s just as an album I found it a bit… difficult…
