The last night of Dean & Britta’s residency at the Zipper Factory in NYC will be a release party for the reissued L’Avventura. Support will be from Sonic Boom’s band Spectrum who are stopping by on their way to the ATP festival.

Dean & Britta’s next show in their residency at the Zipper Factory in NYC will concentrate on the songs of Galaxie 500. The show is on Thursday 21st August and support will come from El May which is the band of ex(-almost)-Luna keyboardist Lara Meyerratken.

I came across these videos of Luna playing in Brazil a few weeks ago but forgot to post them here. They are from (I guess) a Brazilian TV show and features 11 live performances (intercut with offstage footage) and an interview from Luna’s show in Bela Horizonte in Brazil in 2001.

I’ve grown to love the low-res video of YouTube and it’s like (once I’d got past my high-res snobbery) – being able to see short clips of Dean & Britta’s recent tour has been a treat – here are a couple of recent faves…
