• Review: Damon & Naomi in London
    Friday, January 16th, 2009

Hazel and I headed out to the lovely Luminaire last night to catch Damon & Naomi play a very sweet and nicely well attended show in London. We missed the first support but caught the whole of The Left Outsides playing another enjoyable set. We oddly managed to find a very good spot right at [...]

  • As if you needed another reason…
    Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

The excellent blog The Sound of Indie recenly posted a lovely sounding track from Dean & Britta’s “Galaxie 500 show” from a few weeks back (see previous post), I was among a number of people who pleaded for an opportunity to hear the whole show. Sadly Howard Wolfson a pundit for the vile “media” outlet [...]

  • Another Dean & Britta date for the Warhol Screen Tests
    Monday, July 21st, 2008

I’ve just been pointed at the fact that Dean & Britta will be performing the Warhol Film event in Minneapolis in February (that gives you plenty of time to clear your calendar and sort out babysitters!) which may mean that it will be reaching other parts of the country so keep your eyes peeled for [...]

  • Video: Luna live in Brazil 2001
    Friday, May 9th, 2008

I came across these videos of Luna playing in Brazil a few weeks ago but forgot to post them here. They are from (I guess) a Brazilian TV show and features 11 live performances (intercut with offstage footage) and an interview from Luna’s show in Bela Horizonte in Brazil in 2001.

  • A couple of nice Dean & Britta videos
    Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

I’ve grown to love the low-res video of YouTube and it’s like (once I’d got past my high-res snobbery) – being able to see short clips of Dean & Britta’s recent tour has been a treat – here are a couple of recent faves…
